i found out you cannot put a
dual master on a 1954 chevy 1/2
ton with a hydramatic
not enough room
cpp bracket is to big
so had to send it back
have to use oringial mc

Thanks for that tip. I was planning on swapping out my master cylinder on my 1954 Hydra-Matic this summer. Were you able to find any answers? Or did you just go back to the original? Where about in MI are you from?

I have been looking at installing a dual master on my 49 ad and read about several people with clearance issues so I looked a little more and found that a '64 '65 cadillac master is 1" bore and the outlets are on the other side. (frame side) 1/2 x 20. I also believe it has residual valves. Anyone else ever used this unit? Can anyone confirm it has residule valves? Kiethfielder, maybe this would give you enough room.

Keith,i'm not sure if the problem is the servo booster to trans clearance.
Would a non servo assisted one work?

I found this on eBay and wondered if might help?
Admittedly it's non servo but it would still be an improvement over the stock one.
Just a thought.

and the mount for the master cyl.

how much clearance do you need?

is the the MC body that is hitting the trans or the outlet piping?

These folks are usually friendly enough in answering questions even though they are a wholesaler. If not then the company they list will.
If you have your clearance dimensions and needs identified they can tell you if a solution exists.
