:confused: I had attempted to install the windshield myself with the assistance of a helper. I had it seated pretty well except the bottom didn't seem to want to go in all the way. I push a little but not to hard, but it cracked :mad: . Question is has anyone used aftermarket windshield from Auto City Classic out of Isanti, Mi. . Wondering about overall quality of their product and if the fit is good or not. Thanks for all the help!

I bought the windshield for my '59 from AAA Auto Glass and picked it up at a warehouse in Grand Prairie. It was $155 + tax in 2002. I'm sure that's cheaper than getting one shipped from Michigan.
However I talked to the guys at Auto City when they were in Ft. Worth for the Dallas swap meet. They said I could order one for my GMC by phone and pick it up at the Decatur swap meet in Feb. If you can wait that long it might be an option.

the TF windshield should be available from any good auto glass shop - they are up here anyway - and they are prolly all made by whatever same outfit no matter where ya get'em - at a glass shop installation can be done by them, and they take the loss if it gets cracked

check the shop manual and do the dimension check that they show B4 you put the rubber on to make sure the new glass is the same shape as the opening - I had to reshape the drivers dogleg a bit when I put the windshield in a rebuilt cab that was salvaged from a wrecked truck
