Is that not an issue with coolant circulation during a cold start?
I had my top housing one blocked off on the side port but Im running a intake heated system with a ported spacer so I still get circulation thru the block when the thermostat is closed. I was wondering because yesterday I was installing a new heater system in my truck and it just crossed my mind. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | All water pumps starting in about 1950 have a bypass hole in the pump that allows water to circulate from the pump back through a passage in the block and up to the head while the thermostat is closed.
In thinking about it, the water actually would flow the other way, from the head..
