So I got my 2 boys and 3 buds together today to help put Ol red back into place.
Now that the cab is on it appears that it is touching the top of 4 speed gear box just ahead of shifter.
As I don't remember removing any shims is this clearance issue a problem ?
All mounts are new.
Thanks John. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 1,747 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 1,747 | Did the flat rubber/tire pads get put between the frame and front mounts for the cab get put in? Front mount bolts on the floor close to the door hinge pillar? The cab floor is close to the top of the transmission with a 4 speed not touching but close. Those 2 bolts can be shimmed to raise the cab if needed. My front mounts were rusted and ready to collapse. I made repairs with a floor jack supporting the cab. Used big flat washer to shim the cab. Between the frame and the pad. Worked like a charm. Tried to keep cab level and flat from floor to frame and floor to cab. Was not too hard to do. Tape measure and patience was all I used. About a 1/4 inch from floor to transmission as I recall.
