I thought my Speedo would work after I took the gauge apart and cleaned her up and so. When i loosen the speedo cable at the transmission, and turn the inner wire/cable, the needle jumps up and down.

I took out the metal cylinder and the gear from the transmission but im not sure how its supposed to be installed. The gear just hangs loose in the metal cylinder. It doesn't drive the speedo cable.

How should i put it back together?

Edit: I think this is my problem:

Still don't know how to fix it though..?

Oh Well nevermind, it does work now, but there's no way to "lock" the driven gear, I put it in really carefully this time. When I got my exhaust back on I'll take a look how accurate it'll be smile

It doesn't feel right though, like as if the driven gear might wander in too long when i back up or so..
