Really starting enjoying my "new to me" barn find '45 chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. Wheel brake cylinders, carb kit, muffler, a headlight, and she's off and running. A ew questions for those who know.......I DON'T! Spare tire was moved to a left side mount fabbed by previous owner. Very well done, I might add. Question... What type of jack would be correct, and where would it be stored? Same question for lug wrench. It currently has a dry breather with what appears to be sort of a steel wool breather .....is this correct? I would think an oil bath breather? Help please. Pics would be wonderful! Thanks

I can't help with the jack but the air cleaner is correct. You need to take the element out occasionally & wash it & put a little oil on it. An oil bath was optional & works better.

I just found out that my jack is under my seat. PO told me this on the phone yesterday. Haven't opened up the seat to see what all is under there. Since the tire under the rear is flat, doesn't matter anyway. I'll call AAA. But yours is a 45 and mine's a '51, so we're in a whole different orchard.
