I have 1954 3600. Been looking for disc brake kit. Saw this one on Ebay. Took a chance and guess what fits like a glove. rotor slides over hub and centers right over lip where drum used to sit.Bottom bolts were too long so cut them back 1/4 inch. had to massage top of lower tang just a little because it and the two lower bolts hit the I beam on full turns. Used CPP master and booster kit also. Stops great.Ebay link is http://www.ebay.com/itm/350973126802?item=350973126802&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AX%3ARTQ%3AMOTORS%3A1123&vxp=mtr&rmvSB=true

Caliper # 4208 & 4209
Rotor # 55057

Interesting

Ebay 8 lug disc brake conversion

Wonder if it would work on my 51?

I wouldn't want to bet my life in a panic stop with a fully-loaded 3/4 ton truck on that flimsy caliper mount. Why couldn't they make it out of 1/2" plate or thicker?

There's a fella in the parts for sale section of stovebolt who has a more substantial 8 lug kit but it costs a little more and you have to buy calipers, disc, and pads but it is really cool. I have a 3/4 ton 8 lug truck too and will probably use his even though it costs a lot more.
