Now that it is out, for a broken crankshaft, I thought I would redo it. What do I need to do to prep it? I am pretty sure that the head will remain in place. Did the bell and the valve cover yesterday. Will second coat it today and maybe do the intake manifold. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 179 Member | | Member Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 179 | Strip it down to bare metal - clean several times with a wax and grease remover - paint it with a self etching primer - then shoot with whatever color you need - you can even use a base/clear urethane if you want.
