You ask how to remove the steering wheel, but you might mean the steering assembly.
To remove the steering assembly, remove:
- steering wheel
- all shift levers/etc from column to transmission
- steering column to dash brace
- steering column boot/ring at the floor (upwards)
- steering box/assembly bolts from the frame (after disconnecting attachment rod from steering box to tie rod)
Do not forget the bolt that is beneath the steering box, inside the frame rail.
You then lower the steering assembly (out of the cab, under the can/frame).
