I am looking for the pipe that starts at the manifold, goes straight down (I assume) and then turns rearward. I don't have the old one or the flange to know what it is supposed to look like. It should be the same as found on smaller trucks; however, there are two different exhaust manifolds either straight dump or angled. The flange is a cast iron piece. If you cant find one locally, I have a spare.
Paul | | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 | My 43 1.5 ton looks to have been made at a shop, not a factory part (to many welds). The part number for the flange is Walker 31851 Hardware Flange on Amazon.com.
The only real concern is as Paul_WNC stated... you need to look at the exhaust manifold.. the early 235s go straight down, the later 235s angle about 45deg.
