Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 2,168 | After searching wreckers and elsewhere I've decided to splurge and buy new belts for my AD. Tired of worn retractors and frayed/dirty belts. I read Deve's tech article and decided to go with replacement belts for a 73-87 gm truck from Julianos. These should work well in my cab.
Problem... Julianos doesn't seem to ship to Canada! I have tried I contact them but haven't got a response yet (email). In the meantime, does anyone know of another comparable distributor/manufacturer that I can try for a similar belt. I believe you're wanting to order the wrong belts though. Weird, a person has become so accustomed to doing things via computers and the screen that it seems odd to actually talk to a person!! I miss the good ole days! Ever hear of telephone TelePrompTer hell? Hahaha!

I like the belts I bought from Seatbeltplanet.com. The flip style buckle strap was the standard 20" and I wish I had special ordered 32". I have the seat all the way back and the 20" belt is barely enough.
Here's the LINK to my DIY installation. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2020 Posts: 451 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2020 Posts: 451 | Just a fyi, I chose belts from Juliano with chrome flip latch as it was more adjustable, the fixed end of the retractable belt has a 6” long metal stay which gave me more options to position it ( by bending), also that version has a 24” adjustable on the short belt.
Putting a support in behind the sheet metal on a 46 was a big deal
