For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 16 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 16 | Several months ago someone gave me some paint codes for my 1954 5 window that is original Coppertone. Does anyone have this code for Dupont paint? The paint chip sheet I have has a code of DQE-80941. Does that make any sense? Also need Dupont paint code for original interior metal paint. Color can be described as semi flat light grayish taupe. My computer took a dump and I lost my achieved saved files. Thanks Jon 54 5 window being torn down.

Ditzler/PPG: Coppertone: DQE-20941 (PPG 20941) - supposedly, this is not currently available (even as an offset - another formula close to the original)
DUPONT: Coppertone DUCO stock and order numbers: 1683-H (246-72005-H) DULUX coode: 93-72005 Combination number: 536
Note that my Ditzler/PPG number is slightly different from yours.
Standard Interior Color (1954 Chevrolet Truck): Pearl Beige: DOCO order number 1746 (DUCO code: 246-72389) DUCO Flattening Compound (250-81633) is added in accordance to label instructions.
Are you able to get a DUPONT mix of these old colors? PPG still has most of the 1954 formulas, except for the Coppertone and Commercial Red?
