I did a search but not much help. Has anybody replaced the big circular spring in the door latch? Not the inside door opener but the latch that is attached to the door. How do you secure the new spring back into the slot after you grind out the "stake" (if that is the right word) that held the original? Any help would be appreciated

Don't you just "restake" the new one?
