does anyone know what the holes above the sun visors are for in a 50 chevy truck there is 2 3/8 of a inch holes on each side above the sun visors

I think Ray is pulling your leg. Everone knows you'd need 8 holes for that.

Anyway, my truck also has those holes. They look stock, two on each side, right behind the visors. Could they be access holes for a screw driver? Does the headliner fasten there? My truck doesn't have a headliner and I have no idea how it's fastened at the front.

My truck came from Outlook, Saskatchewan. Maybe it's a Saskatchewan thing.

we dont have the head liner in yet its just getting ready to paint

The front of the headliner fastens by the interior windshield trim, now there will be three small holes to mount the screws for the sun-visor and the larger hole in the middle of the three is for the rod that connects to the visor.
