I'm replacing the window channel that goes in the top and rear of the door. The original was corrugated metal with mohair fabric around it. Mine had clips cross-ways to the window channel that popped into the door frame. The repro channel doesn't have these clips. Maybe it depends on the years and I am not entirely sure. Maybe someone else can verify. On my 62 the channel was supported by a metal frame. I pushed it into the door frame and it stays without fastening. Rolled window up to set the top edge. On my 66 the seal was just the rubber, felted material and I pressed it into the door channel no problems. It stays put. I put a little silicone adhesive in the corner and rolled the window up to set it in place. The window was extreamly difficult to roll up and down due to being too tight. Had to teak it a bit to work right. BTW, thanks for the reply on the front brakes. I figured it was original but wasn't 100% sure | | |
