I am installing a saganaw 4 speed in place of the original 3 gear. (car trans) where do I get a shifter to work with bench seat

I could be wrong but I doubt you'll find one.

I bought a Hurst '57 Chevy passenger car shifter for my '65 C10 that has an M-21 Muncie car transmission. The Hurst shifter still didn't clear the seat.

Your best economical options are likely going to be to either go with bucket seats or make your own shifter handle. You can either heat and bend a stock shifter or make one from scratch.

I built a shifter for my roadster pickup by using some round bar, bending it to the correct configuration, then using a die to cut threads for the shifter knob. I then cut off the old shifter and welded the new one to the stub sticking out of the trans.

Here's a link to what the previous owner of my truck did to the shifter to clear the seat. The darn thing weighed about 5 pounds.... it was the first thing I took off the truck.

Hey Guys, you sound like you have experience in older Chevys and Tranny swaps.
Question: what car 3sp full sync or 4sp trans will bolt up to the original 1950 Chevy 235? I plan on replacing the rear end also. I appreciate any info,
