I have a 46 truck grill that was rechromed sometime in the past. The chrome is in good condition BUT there are numerous small (1/4") cracks around the perimeter. Ideally I would weld these fractures but the chrome would be ruined. Is there some compound, epoxy, something, I could apply from the back side that would lend some structural integrity to these fractured areas?

ive had prety decent luck with j.b. weld.Iused it on a craked crank case on the kids atv.its held good through 2 years of abuse.
