Anybody know for certain what the original color of these strips was on a '50? I'm changing a '49 cab to a '50 so I didn't ever have the original pieces. In '50 they went to a more simplified design, and these are the ones I'm talking about.

The originals on my 51 are painted the same metallic brown as the inside cab.

Thanks for the info about the color. I removed two of these from cabs at a junkyard, brought them in, and the guy wanted $25 for the pair. I can buy them new for $8 each, ready to paint. His reply: "Those new ones aren't as good as the originals."
Yeah, right. Real critical parts. I put them back into the cab and left.
