Hi Chris
Welcome to the Stovebolt. I am from Gunnison as well and have seen your truck. It looked good in the car show a few years ago. I also have a 51 2 ton that we used to have our wrecker on. It is not as nice as yours. This is a fun site with lots of information. Glad you found it.

Jim,
I remember talking to you at the car show. I would love to talk with you about the plans for this year if you have a few minutes. The cell number is on the side of any of my equipment and trucks. They won't allow me to send personal messages yet.

Danny from Layton, Utah.

Registered on the site a few years back but finally dragged my 55.1 5 window out here from Colorado last week. Excited to get my hands dirty.

Got myself a clean 60 GMC that has been worked on, upgraded. Looking to do a lot with it and I am looking to some ideas and time savers.

I didn't see any other Nevadans here but there isn't a Great Basin Bolters Group. Nevada was once Western Utah Territory. That beats Eastern California. If I get to choose I'd rather be here. I see folks from a lot of places I've been. So Hello from Northern Nevada.

American Fork, Utah here.

I own an auto shop, have always loved old Chevy trucks and just drug one home - 1953 3100 Deluxe Cab 4-speed. No motor but I ran across a complete 235 that I couldn't pass up before I even had the truck. And so it begins...

I built it one piece at a time, and it didn't cost me a d...yeah right!

Ogden Utah. Lots of trucks are still running around. Some in my neighborhood, most will honk and wave as they go by. Nice. Found a sort of roller, with a 235, 4 speed and a torque tube rear that I need. Tough to move, the frame was cut just after the E brake pivots. "Just get it out of the yard" price. So it is now in front of the garage waiting for me to pull off what I want. Just might be the best parts deal I have ever made.

I spotted a nice looking blue 58-59 Fleetside in Loveland, Co.

There is a 68-72 Chevy Longbed pickup parked next to two 'stangs about 200 yards from my house to... I have been stalking the owner for a couple weeks now.

Hello from Highlands Ranch, CO. Ready to start "Colorful" tomorrow. 13 months of work on this farm find 59' 3100. Pulled her out a field near Trinidad, CO and she's ready to come back to life. She turns over and has not run for 7 years. All systems rebuilt and ready to go.

Hey, good to hear there are a couple other Idaho folks on here. I'm down in Central Idaho, near Burley.

Idaho53, and cmachad2, I get out to Meridian once in a while with some family there. Maybe I'll see you running around one of these days.

Hello from east Idaho, one of the boxes I would like to check off soon is taking the truck through Yellowstone on a slow ride with the wife. Has anyone else completed this trip?

Jan and I have been contemplating a tour thru Yellowstone for years in our 57 3100. Just need to finish the frame up -- maybe in 2017 ! Should be a very fun tour!

I understand.... I am still trying to decide which direction I want to go, do I do a frame up or just make it a nice daily driver. Either way I am looking forward to the trip one day.

Hey RR- I've got a 47' 3600 AD (that started all of this nonsense), which led to finding 2 49' 3100's that were basket cases. HAD to have them too.......

Marko, Mrs Rod only allows me to have two projects at a time. I "inherited" a 38 Plymouth Coupe from my father. He put in a ZZ502 Chevy engine... I don't have room for either of my projects now.. so my Binder sits in the Car Hauler.

Putting the bed on one of the 49's today. Was going great until it hit 99 degrees here in Denver. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to mount rear fenders for the first time. The patina is looking really good.
