HF tubing roller $179.95, this guy's roller bearing upgrade, $184.50.
That's more than a new -made in USA - Pro Tools bender for $299.

C'mon Jim, you can't compare apples and oranges.....the Pro Tools large radius tubing bender is closer to $1000 ! What I am interested in is the portaband table and the metal brake mod to the HF press. I happened on this site when I was looking up info for putting a winch on my flatbed trailer.

HF for the most part sells Chinese copies of American made tools.

It' a popular place to buy tools... but it just seems blasphemous to have a thread explaining how handy Americans have modified Chinese knock off's of American tools.

John, we all know HF stuff comes from China, that's old news. Most guys just do the best they can when equipping their shops. It's a value for the $ decision that we all make every day. If it comes down to paying the rent and getting the tools, most of us, for reasonable quality, will go the less expensive route. Can we just keep it to the tools, they are getting reasonable reviews.
