I have a 1950 1/2 Ton Chevy PU.

I bought a new door lock and key for the passenger side door. The assembly manual shows that the
lock is secured by a spring clip that slides through a slit in the door under the rubber weatherstrip.

Does anyone know where I can get one? I can not find the original.

Thank you.

Any of the vendors that sell used parts could help you, Jim Carter and American Classic come to mind. I am not fond of Heavy Chevy, I think they cheated me, so do not recommend them. If you want a great deal, I will pick one up for you on my next trip to the junkyard, but it is quite a ways from me, I am planning on going out on the 5th of September with a friend. Remind me closer to then if you want this, email me privately, [email protected].

Those "HELP" red packages at Pep Boys and other auto part stores include the spring clips. I call them Omega clips.
