Hy brokentruck, welcome, I think the part number might be 1913369, at least that is the only solenoid starter that doesn't have the notation "exc. AT" in my parts book, hope that helps.

1107135 w/solenoid for 1954 Hydra-Matic
1107109 w/solenoid for 1954 3700/3900 (Forward Control Chassis - DUBL-DUTI?)

The two starters with solenoids have different length "snouts".

It looks like 1913369 was for 49-54 passenger car and also DUBL-DUTI for use with solenoid switch (but, without the switch). It's snout would not work with the HydraMatic.

Hy tclederman, thank you for the correction, it appears my 1941 through 1955 parts book does not list a Hydramatic starter, I did find 1107135 in one of my GMC books, but not 1107109. I was about to add to my post, but you beat me to it, thanks again

You will most likely only find one used.
Post a Parts Wanted ad in the Swap Meet.

53-54 6v GM Hydra-Matic starter (my understanding is that 6v pos/neg does not matter with a starter motor)

This is an uncommon, if not rare, part.

Here's a low probability: call Jim Carter Truck parts for a used one

I think Gene at Restoration Hydramatics has a rebuilt one.
There was one on Craigslist about 3 weeks ago, that he had posted.
