Does anyone know of a source for these rare original bushings? Mine are 2"long x 1 1/2"tall with bump 1 3/8 wide with a 7/8 hole . JC has a 9/16 hole

JC has those bushings for the two styles/sizes of sway bars used on 47-55 GM panel-body trucks (47-51 & 51-55).

Maybe your assembly is from the other style. It is worth a call to JC. If you have already checked this with JC, just ignore this post.

JC's bushings have worked on the two original sway bar sets on my 54 trucks; although, the bushings in the recent set I used were a little smaller in width than the set I bought 10 years ago.

I think the tie rod diameter from 46-55 was 3/4" diameter.

Thx's I did call JC and they probably spent 20 minutes with me on the phone. They even pulled stock off the rack and measured it. You are right they are smaller in width. and now the tie rod diameter is smaller to 9/16. Curious did your bushings have the top bump?

Here's what I found to be the closest to factory. Eckler's has both a Polyurthane and rubber bushing. The Poly part is A7265 the rubber is part # 54930. The Poly is a little narrow, but fits the bracket perfect. And Yes these a early Corvette part's too. I was told that the rubber bushing fills the bracket more like the original. I"ll try that on my other sway bar.
