The engine is in a 1959 GMC 9314, which is a half ton, and Canadian.

I know AD's were a grey blue and 261's were a green. Do not know the case for task force trucks. It is now painted gray.
My boss still swears that it should be a pale green, but my restoration shop says that a 261 I6 would be green and a 235 I6 should be gray.

I bought a block out of a '61 Biscayne. That car motor was green. Could be the color difference is between a truck and a car motor or for later year 235's? All bets are off for a Canadian GMC though (I think they were green; I don't have a code for that one). Hope this helps.
