I have a 59 3/4 an the the paint code on the door is spc. I started to sanding an after a glossy black paint I hit metal. Any imfo. will be of great help.

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | not glossy for sure - you may have not noticed a flatish black OEM coating, or maybe someone has previously done a strip/repaint - my 58 had 6 different color coats [original owner musta had it repainted every few years!], and under the original white was a light brown primer sorta like the modern 'rust' primer color
