The roof on my c60 has some pin holes above the windshield and is kind of beat up above rear window.
Im wondering if I just drill out a whole bunch of spotwelds and peel the old skin off if I can buy a replacement for a pickup cab and weld it back on?
ill glass bead and seal inside all the pillar areas while the skin is removed.

Wow...60 views and no replies?

My knowledge of later cabs is fairly limited but i'd imagine they're the same.
Generally any sheet metal changes were confined to the front clip/fender openings etc. (in most cases).
It just wouldn't make financial sense for the manufacturer to re-tool to make panels for the larger weight trucks.

Hopefully someone with more experience of these trucks will chime in.

The cabs for the light trucks and heavy trucks are pretty close, roofs are the same. The difference comes in the transmission hump in the floor.

there are differences, but nothing you cant overcome. For example, alot of the larger trucks dont have the gas tank IN the cab, so they have some extra sheetmetal behind the seat and no hole for the filler spout. Other than that, the center transmission floor cover is not the same because alot of them had dump beds, parking brake, etc. So that cover is different. Other than that, NO. The cabs are exactly the same. Larger trucks front fenders are longer, hood is longer, etc. The cabs are interchangeable if you dont mind doing a little fabrication.
