I''ve been following this forum now for over a year and have to say how impressed I am with the efforts, knowledge and dedication of the members and staff. Thank you.
I have a 47 1.5 ton loadmaster I've owned since 1976. The engine and trans were up graded to a 235 and syncro 4 speed from a 1954 pick up. It sat idle for over 20 years until last year I decided to bring it back to life. New water pump, starter drive, king pins, rear leaf pins and bushings, rear motor mounts, new master cylinder and brake cylinders, complete tune up, and new battery. It starts and runs sweet and so cool to drive around the property. Now I want to shore up some oil leaks. It has a manually shifted two speed rear end, my question is to change the pinion shaft oil seal should the pinion cage be removed or can the seal be removed with a puller or similar tool? Also is the seal the same for the two speed as the single?

Hy Dave Parque, welcome, I'm fairly sure that once you remove the "U" joint flange you can pry the old seal out and replace it.
The o.e.m. p/n for the seal is 3651493 that translates to Napa p/n NOS22619 $22.49, I believe Napa p/ns for seals are the same as C/R, just remove the alpha part. Is your rear axle a Timken double reduction two speed? Hope that helps.

I believe there is one good shot of the rear end that may help. I don't know exactly which type it is.
