Jimbo,

There are plenty of old truck parts suppliers on line...Recommend a start to look local for any suspension businesses. I found one about 50 miles away. They ordered the springs/shocks/bushings for my 54 3100. Cost was a lot less then ordering and paying shipping from the standard classic truck suppliers, including driving down and picking up the parts.

try your local auto parts store

I got fronts and rears for my 50 1/2 at autozone, they had them on the shelf.

Don't know if its the same shock for the 3800

A suspension shop would have heavier shocks/springs. Try a local search. Any other bolter ideas?
