So, I finally made it back to Michigan to check out my truck that I bought online. I was told to look at the number behind the distributor to make sure it's the original engine since it's a hydra-matic truck. The number I found was 00888 f54m. As I started looking up codes I couldn't find any that match up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

F54M, Flint plant, 1954, and M is indeed the code for a Hydramatic in a 3100 truck.
