Is there a DIY way to hook up Slave to Master with Rubber hose, tubing ends and hose clamps? The stock one was swaged which indicates too much pressure for hose clamps? If not feasible to make, where to buy? 1960 GMC/Chevy, pass side slave.V6.

Most NAPA stores have equipment to fabricate high pressure hydraulic lines. I'd suggest taking the master and slave cylinders to one of those places and see if they can custom-make a line for you. The only place a flex line would be needed would be a short one from the firewall to the bellhousing to absorb flex from the motor mounts. A hard line will fatigue and break in short order.

It's possible a flex hose from a front brake could be adapted to that application if the fitting at the slave cylinder could be matched up. The frame lines will usually have 3/16" tubing inverted flare fittings and pre-made 3/16" steel lines are available in all sorts of lengths.

Those little buggers have a surprising amount of hydraulic pressure behind them. But at the same time they used to use (maybe still do) plastic lines, without any fittings or clamps though.

I will try to find a short brake hose that I can adapt tubes with fittings on each end. thanks Jerry and Carl. The Napa's here only do big machinery hoses they guy said. I would rather build my own as per Jerry, if I can.
