I want to install the original hubcaps that require clips to be installed on the replacement steel rims. When I looked at wheel clips from Classic Parts, it indicated that they were for 1/2-ton trucks only. My question is whether or not I can use these for my 3/4-ton truck. Why would they be different? I had the wheels converted to take a radial tire.
I bought new hubcaps and the clips to hold them.
the hubcaps I got from classic parts, I can't remember where I got the clips ( either car and truck shop, obsolete chevy parts, the filling station or classic parts).
I had to bend the clips to get them to hold the caps.
in the end I used a couple of the original clips which were much more "stout" than the repop ones.
