anyone ever put the window rollup assist springs on. I hear they are a bear . any pics close up left and right

You should be able to get good pictures on one of the vendors online catalog.
I carefully clamp the regulator in a vice and use vice grips clamped on the middle of the spring, then wind the spring with the outside end against the shaft, kind of cock-eyed which requires less turning of the strong spring.
Once it is wound enough to line up with the slot, push it down as far as you can, remove the vise grips and pry the outside arm of the spring outward and downward to go over the shoulder of the shaft housing, and tap it home with a hammer.
