I recently came across the first issue of Custom Rodder magazine, dated May 1957. In it, there is a pretty good article about an after market fuel injector called the Meteor Fuel Injector, manufactured by the Saaty Fuel Injector Corp. of Providence, R.I.
Anybody know anything about these or better yet has anyone actually tried one out? I did some searching online and found very little info, but there are some good pictures and I found a youtube video of a 1939 Plymouth running a pair of them on a dual intake mounted to a 230 flat 6. Here's a link to the video if anyone's interested
According to my magazine they made two versions, one for six cylinders (meteor 100) and one for eight (meteor 200). They are supposed to fit on any engine and cost $80 dollars new back then. They definitely look cool and unique sitting under the hood of a vintage style hotrod. I'm thinking about trying to locate one or two for a future project provided anyone has anything good to say about them and I can get them for a reasonable price. So, anybody?
