anyone know, heard many talk about this . is my 64 gmc 4000 cab the same as a 1/2 ton pickup cab?

I believe the cabs and doors are interchangeable. Fenders and front bracket are different. Maybe someone can further confirm.

It is my understanding that the cab, doors and hoods are the same. Inside the cab probably the only difference is the height of the transmission hump since the transmission is several inches lower in a big bolt, making a floormat impossible to find.

If you need any measurements of the 4000 let me know, it's sitting in the driveway.

I have never swapped one, but have heard quite a few times that the Mounts are different on the Cabs between the two.

Up to now, I really can't actually remember any Pick-ups riding around with a former 2-Ton Cab.

But that said, I'm sure it could be modified to fit. But me personally, I'd want a Pick-up Cab on a Pick-up.

The Floor Hump is also another issue as mentioned, unless you would need one anyway (like I would, lol).
