I've been to several sites and books and I can't decipher this engine number. It's a 235 cu in and the number stamped on the block is F255X. I figure the F is for Flint plant the 55 is the year but the 2 prefix and the X suffix have me stumped. Anyone have a clue? secret

Thanks
Craig

The 2 signifies it's from a 2nd Series truck, and the X is the code for the standard transmission 235 in 3100 and 3200.
