I realize this isn't a heavy mat material but it does help and I love the look of it. And at about $10 -$15 a roll it's easy on the pocketbook. I'm going to use this as a floor mat also. Two rolls will do it all.

I used the same stuff. Harbor Freight.

I picked it up at Menards. Harbor freight carries similar stuff. It's a little over a 1/4" thick and cuts and lays out nicely. I used 3M Vinyl top spray adhesive. The heavy duty stuff in an orange can. Spay the surface you are going to apply it too and the backside of the mat. Touch them together and they don't move so take care getting it positioned.

Any idea yet how it's performing? How much difference in the sound?

The trucks not on the road yet. Rapping on the sheet metal before and after there is a difference. I figure I can always double up the layers if needed.

I like the pics. Your gauges looked good too! My 47' speedo needle is faded semi transparent red. Do you know what color is correct?

As far as I know your speedometer needle would be white, same as my 49'

Hey BTZGUY, this is Archie Bentz, I use to own Archie's Sandwiches 'n Spirits 91-95, before I sold to Jan of the 'Breakers'. I still have my '46 Chev and was looking at your post, but since I can not glue this down, (still need access through floor for master cylinder and battery) would you recommend this laying loose under the floor mat?
Would I know you by name?
