For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 232 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 232 | I currently am running a rotory vane type pump on my truck and it's really noisy even though it' mounted on rubber isolators. Seems to me I remember back in the day Carter or Stewart warner had a pump that would only run until pressure was reached then would just quietly tick when fuel was needed. Maybe they were diaphram or something. Memory is fuzzy at my age. It only cycles as needed.
