My 51 3100 Frankenkenbolt has no parking brakes. The rear end is at my best guess out of something with 4:11 gears made around 1966. I have the hardware for both sides to make it work. The rest of the system from the floor pedal back to both clevises(?)is all there. All I lack is cables to thread into the clevis and clip into the backing plate and attach to the hardware on the brake shoes. I came to the conclusion that there is no cable that will fit this setup,so I need to build some.
What I'm looking for is guidance or information on building cables.I really don't want to hook this up with cable clamps. I want to build something that looks cleaner than that.----Jack

Get the correct cables for the rear you have. You can purchase short cables that thread into the clevis and use a GM cable connector shaped like a C.

The short cable can be made by controlcables.com or they can make you a complete cable
