As I posted my "Basics of Basics" on wax and grease removers I was reminded on who taught me much of the technical info I pass on to you guys. His name was Steve Vail, a true gentleman who was the head of the Sherwin Williams tech center in Reno NV. I just learned last night that Steve has passed away and I am so shocked I can't say. He was a great guy and I really injoyed his company on my many visits to the tech center, as well as out on lake Tahoe in his boat on the company picnics. He was a stand out guy and the painting industry has lost a teacher who graciously taught all who would listen. I havn't been to the tech center in over two years being I am no longer a rep or painting. But I was lucky enough to spend some time with Steve a few months ago at my work when he came by for an estimate writing clinic. He was the kind of guy you were simply happy to see, he made you feel good. He will be missed by all. Please remember Steve and his family in your prayers.
