Is the rear bumper bracket bolted to outside of 1 ton frame channels?
Does the bracket curve down ward or upward?
Thanks , Jerry

The 3800 panel rear bumper matches its front, curvature of its brackets are identical. They appear identical to the 3804 1 ton pickup front bumper. The 3804 one ton rear bumper is a breed of its own, being quite straight when comparing it to the one ton truck front and panel front/rear. If that is as clear as mud to you, then you understand it as well as I, Using a 1 ton rear from a panel will NOT work on a 1 ton pickup. Any questions, contact me. Jerry

UNIT indicates Panel body trucks) What parts book are you referring to? Pickup - front = 3700437/painted (3683347/chromed) - rear = no rear bumper listed? Panel front = 3700437 (3683347/chromed) rear = 3700437 (3673347/chromed) | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 396 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 396 | Wishful thinking by me Tim? , Maybe I read between the lines. Any how, you are correct. I was looking at that same parts book and recall seeing the same numbers.

The rear frame widths on the 3600 and larger trucks was 36" with the exception of 6702 and 6802 chassis.
I do remember seeing a part listing for that had the same brackets and bumper for the 3600 and 3800 truck.
With that being said, a 3600 rear bumper would be a direct fit.
