Hey, just wanted to share a bit about my story. Purchased a 1949 1/2 ton this spring. Been working on it every chance I get. I just had it running (dumping gas down the carb mind you) but I shed tears. I could not have done it without this website. Thanks everyone. I'm putting in a 4 speed, have redone the brakes. I am so close to taking it around the block. I can't wait!!!

qdub, welcome to the Stovebolt website. Glad you are already utilizing the Bolt. Best Chevy and GMC site on the web.
Sounds like you have a really interesting project. Post us a picture or two when you can. Good luck and we are here to help.
You'll also find some bolters in your area.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

qdub, Welcome to the Stovebolt my 1 ton was purchased in the Weyburn area and although a bit bigger they have allot in common, lots of parts around for these old classics as well as awesome helpful advice. It doesn't matter what condition its in any chance to drive around the block is a great thing to do. You can bet that it will turn heads.

I'll figure out how to post a picture. I got it off of Kijiji. Just put in a 4 speed today. I appreciate the website.

First time I saw this truck I said "That's the one!"
