I'm restoring my truck to it's original paint colors. Can anyone tell me: (1) What color is the under side of the hood (black or exterior color)? (2) What color is the inner fenders (black or exterior color)? Thanks. Bob

black and black - the hoods frequently had some body color overspray around the underside edges, but basically everything in the engine compartment was satin / low gloss black

Thanks Bill. I thought it was black, but my body shop guy kept saying it should be the exterior color. Black it shall be. Bob

he must be accustomed to new vehicles, I think on our old trucks the underside of the hood was actually the primer, like EDP
