Trying to find a mom & pop saw mill that has ruff cut southern yellow pine wood 5/4 x 8" x 14' that would sell me 14 boards. Willing to drive 300 miles out from York,Pa.I did a search and only found large mills wanting large lots.
Thanks
Jay

My son-in-law is a contractor in your area. I'll ask if he knows any place like that later. He's not available right now.

Try this miller. No guarantee though. He is in Lancaster county.

Keep in mind that Southern Yellow Pine can be any one of the following pine species: shortleaf. longleaf, loblolly, slash, Virginia, pond, table mountain, pitch, and spruce.

The preferred species for your application would be shortleaf and longleaf pine. Pick the boards with the tightest annual ring count (15+ rings per inch is best), and run away from any boards that have only 4-7 rings per inch.

You may have to ask some local woodworker guys for a sawyer as those businesses are typically very low profile.
