Have not been on the site for awhile but now asking for advise. It's in the Gallery from years ago. Now with 2000 more miles and a bunch of positive additions. New shocks and tires, headache rack cut down, orig. jack set under seat, tranny rebuilt, radiator flushed, new seat belts. Any help is appreciated. Rust free! I'm now living in Bend Oregon. Thanks, RAK

nobody here can tell you what it's "worth", short of a walk around and test drive - look around and see what pricing is for comparable trucks, watch ebay and Craigslist and any auto trader mags in your area ... ask what you think it's worth or what you think you can get .... take the nearest offer

Nice truck.

Can you give us some more details, in regard to motor, trans, etc.?

Rak,
As Bill says ... But also, check out the Tech Tip on Truck Pricing in our Tech Tips section of the site. Use the link at the top of the page.

Once you set a price, then post this in the Swap Meet (where it actually belongs ... wink )

Regards,
John

Here's the tip "What's my truck worth?"

Once you sell it, let the new owner know to come here and we'll update the "truck's" Gallery page for the new owner ... and continue it's history.

Thanks,

Peg

The Old Car Price "Guide" shows #4 condition $3800. #3 $8500. #2 $13300. That is for a stepside pickup. Flat bed will be less. A lot depends on how quick you want to sell it. If you are in no hurry put ads in the swap meet of this website, Craigs List & publications & internet ads that have run till sold ads. Some times it takes up to a year but it seems someone comes along & pays a respectable price for it. If you are in a hurry, put out a low price & turn it quickly.

Hey George! So, if he sticks it out in an old field, in partially collapsed barn, or behind the shed on a farm ... that won't help sell it? wink

Hi Peg. It might. Smear dust on it & let the tires down about half flat. Every one wants that "barn find". These reality shows on TV shows them open a shed doors & there sits a vehicle that has been there for 30 years & the tires are still up on it.

OK I'll let the air out of the tires as a first step towards marketing it! Thanks all.

RAK ... it's marketing strategy! Use to be known as a gimmick ... but that's so "dated" ... unless you want to offer a free pen for all who respond (I can send you a box of them). grin
