At first, the left rear was hanging/dragging causing the drum to get hot. Right rear was fine. Adjusted the master cylinder push rod to have a little more free play. Drove it 5 miles and no issues. Ended up replacing the front wheel cylinders because fluid was leaking. Bled the brakes afterwords, drove it a mile came back and no issues. Customer picked up the truck and left. Returned 15 minutes later and said the right rear was dragging/hanging and it was hot to the touch, left rear was fine. Checked the e-brake and isn't hanging. If that were the case, it would point to some pressure remaining, perhaps caused by the flex line in the back.

The entire system has been replaced at this point. Also check the MC, if it won't return all the way a port will not uncover and hold pressure.

Also your rubber lines can collapse inside.

It still could be that. If it was the master cylinder, wouldn't both rear brakes be hanging/dragging. Not just one side. Also, why would the left do it and then the right do it but not together. I suspect the rubber lines going to each wheel. The age is unknown for the rubber brake hoses. | | |
