Hey Guys,

I have a '45 1 1/2 ton, left fender is hopelessly bashed in and right is about 90% good.. my question is, can I put 1/2 ton fiberglass fenders on it( I will have 16" tires on it)or is the hood longer than the 1/2 tons?...just in the research mode now, what info I can get will help me determine what I want to do with her! Rod or resto? Thanks, Bruce

Welcome aboard Bruce
The hood on a 41-46 1 1/2 ton is the same length as the 1/2 ton. The fenders will interchange and the 1/2 ton fender on the 1 1/2 ton should not be a problem with 16 inch wheels, although I've never done such a thing.

Hi , You can change to the 1/2 fenders ,you will have to use both left and right you will also have to use 1/2 ton running boards as they are shorter from the rockers to the step. Hope this helps . Send me an email i might be able to help you with parts.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the quick replies to my post!!! This is WHY the Stovebolt Page is the best source of information on these fantastic old trucks!....My wife and I bought a '52 3/4 ton while on our honeymoon in 1988...sadly we had to sell it because of my career in the U.S.Navy had us moving all over the place. I retired on 31 Dec '03 soooooo THIS ONE STAYS!!!
Thanks Guys!!

Bruce
