I am trying to locate the PPG code for a couple of interior paint colors. The colors are:
Comanche Gold Metallic - DUCO 92863
Charcoal Gray - DUCO 73605

The guy that is restoring my truck put in an order to Jim Carter at the first of September, but they keep putting him off, saying they will have the paint any day now. I'm trying to find somewhere else but not having any luck. I called a couple of local places but since I don't have the PPG codes, they could not help. I also called TCPGlobal and they were of no help either.

Does anyone know the PPG codes for these two colors?

Thanks!

Did you call PPG?
Was that phone number still good?

Good luck with your restoration. Please post photos of the paint job.

Another option, if you have areas where the original paint still exists, is to have the jobber color match it. Sometimes that's not an option, sometimes it is. Good luck with it.

tclederman - yes I called them, thanks. I got the PPG numbers, but I just got an email from my restorer saying that the paint store ran the PPG numbers and nothing came up. He said I will have to try to color match it myself.

Anyone have the color chips?

Tiny - my original paint is a blue color throughout. I'm trying to switch to the Deluxe cab interiors, so unfortunately I don't have the original paint in the colors I'm wanting to go to.

Denny Graham had a pretty good write-up on the interior colors and the rattle-can matches along with some pix. Let me see if I can find that thread or link.

Bruce,

Is Old Blue 59 looking for early 50s truck interior colors (a la Denny) or 1959 Comanche Gold Metallic - DUCO 92863 and Charcoal Gray - DUCO 73605

Old Blue 59,

Is your restorer buying from a PPG paint-store/jobber?

I'd be interested in seeing some pic's of the Charcoal Gray if you can link to them when done, thanks.

And those wouldn't be AD colors so we have to assume
they were the interior for his '59.

I am interested in the Comanche gold metallic paint code that you found for PPG. Would you be willing to share that with me? Is it a base/clear or single stage? Thanks
