I'm most definitely going to need a parts cab. Anyone know where there's a bare cab, 60-63 that has an undamaged windshield frame, and cowl sections? Preferably somewhere in texas. I realize this sounds completely insane, but otherwise the truck is in pretty good shape for 41 years old. It even ran when parked in '82, and isn't locked up. I'm a welder and I have a good tig machine. If guys on the southside can chop and channel a vehicle, I ought to be able to to do a little transplant operation right? I'm thinking it may actually be easier to replace the entire front of the cab, rather than just the windshield frame sections.
Any suggestions from the gurus? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 990 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 990 | I saw some old trucks and stuff outside of Dallas on I-30, and I think an old 60 panel, but don't have a contact for the guy. You could also try Midway Auto parts outside of waxahachie as that's where I got a door for my 59. However, all that stuffs up here in north texas. Would think you might find stuff closer to home. There is also an older car parts boneyard in Denton just north of dallas, but I hear they're pricey too. | | |
