I got another one ton. I pulled this out of a barn full of old iron today. Running 235. needs brakes....
Got the wrong hood I think. No spears... but as far as my TF knowledge goes its a 57 with 55-56 hood. hood is blue.
Drop box 1957 folder for now. This weekend Ill get up there and get the front clip on for now.

grill will tell if it's 57, and of course the door tag .... does look like it needs a bed floor and some cross sill work grin

Its got a plywwood bed that's in decent shape. The rear mount off the end of the frame snapped off at the tacs, but its still there. The cab is dropping on the front from bad body mounts.
I have a parts truck lined up but am unsure about fender fit from 3100/3600-3800. parts truck cost more than this truck.

fenders will be the same 3100 to 3800, change comes at the 4000 series

Ahh after hearing it run in the barn. I got it home and I couldnt get it to run. After replacing the coil , going over the points and pulling the gunk out of the carb, she runs!
Youtube 235 runing.
axle is up in the air at this moment and did not have a fuel system. I now do, more on that later. Axles was up to check the rear end.
I fixed the bed. it was just the brackets in the rear.
I put the front clip together just to see what I got to work with. It has the head light buckets and trim rings and good lights. Just not in the pics.

front Notice the "eye patch" . one really bad hub cab. Its part of the pirate crew now.

I have decided what to do with this truck. I always said on my panel build if I found a suitable 235 replacement , that I would use that in my panel truck. So the running 235 is getting pulled and swapped.
Now what to do with the TF truck? Well hot rod it of coarse. That nice big block buick I prepared to go in the panel needs to find a home now. The fuel system I installed in the truck should be able to handle the needs of the 455.
I am thinking about power steering and brakes , with a ladder bar rear for traction.
Black sued for paint after I patch the front fenders. Probably the only body work Id do for now. Maybe floor pan patch at the body mounts. I might do a custom hood since the hood is 55-56.
My main concern is for the Panel truck. I have gone as far as I want to at this time with the 57, but its time to get the panel back moving on her own power.

I am thinking about running the 57 with 235 as is for a couple months until winter hits here. Fix the brakes and throw a seat in it. Figure out a way to patch enough metal in the headlight area to mount headlights. I will need to check over the 57 235 . So when I get it going and stopping I'll take it for a short drive to Tim's to get checked out.

Upon checking a free seat for fit , I realized my new seat would fit better in my AD truck and my suburban seat would fit better in my Task force truck.... here is a shot from today.

Electric fuel system.
All from parts laying around.

Later in the day I remembered I had this sitting on the 216.

I went on a big push this week to try and get the 57 going enough to yard drive for Saratoga truck show. Well I got her going good enough I took her down the road .
Here is the video of preflight . I got it up to temp and later bolted the fenders and seat in her.
