Hi my daily driver is a 1942 GMC 1/2 ton Panel Truck.

The original sway bar is still in place and the bushings are worn out. Does anyone make them or know the specs/ good replacement options over replacing the entire bar.

Notes: The truck is far from original. I am not restoring to original, but I am really suping it up either. As stated this is my daily driver and only vehicle and I prefer to keep it as original and original looking as is safely and comfortably possible. It came to me with a Nova's 250 engine power & glide tran. and rear. New leaf spring were made and modern shock to replace the original rear which were missing. I added disk brakes the front end and the knee shock were rebuilt.

Please note: I just read an article stating (Jim Carter or the like) stating that Chevy did not have sway bars but GMC this was standard . So the question goes out to you all on that assumption of truth.

Chevs of the 40s sells bushings for sway bars: https://www.chevsofthe40s.com/shop/...mp;sale=&showcase=&searchtype=FT
These bushings appear the same as those on my Suburban. I do not know if the GMC used the same type.

Jeremy, both makes used sway bars on the panel/burb bodied trucks, the ones Sput links should be what you need
